Lalla M. Brigham collection, [ca. 1903-ca. 1935].

The Lalla M. Brigham Collection consists of files of clippings from the Council Grove Republican, Chase County leader, the Daily guard, and other newspapers documenting the history of Council Grove, Kan., in the early 20th century. Topics include the Kaw Mission (now Kaw Mission State Historic Site), the 1903 flood, and various historic celebrations & events. A small portion of the collection is Brigham's correspondence, particularly with the American Guard organization regarding their publications. Also included are materials relating to her involvement in the Daughters of the American Revolution and correspondence with the Kansas Authors Club.
